You can not leave Nora Soos alone for a half a year. One could think that one already knows this young fine artist's thoughts, techniques, methods, goals, and in one's own way trace the successful career in its own short existence and expose all its phases.

In other words one might think - at least in this regard - can not have any serious surprise.  Then here you are:  of course you can!  When one gets comfortable and leans back thinking that one is in the picture regarding Nora Soos, after all it was only a little while ago in Szombathely when had a chance to see the extensive exhibition of her work where she threw on her canvas everything that she has noticed in her surroundings (herself first of all, amid her favorite activities, than her environment in and out of her apartment).  Concluding on the other hand, that Nora has reached the end of possibilities using her own design of lined structures that she uses almost as a patent, (for those few who have never seen the paintings of Nora Soos:  with the help of this technique, one could say, you can purchase two paintings for the price of one, that is to say, the lines are layered superimposed on each other) If from now on she would only vary her patterns everyone would be satisfied.

However, if Nora Soos would not be who she is everything would happen so predictably around her. On the other hand, now at her first independent exhibit (acb Galleria, Kiraly utca 76) she has tightened a nut or two on her tale.  I could not even get surprised on the fact that all the twenty paintings were done for this exhibit, brand-new creations, but on the fact that she possesses elemental humor, very much so. That's because until now she has shown no sign of it.  (There was no need)  True, that she also hid well any signs of awareness of anything that happened in the world outside of her studio.  And now all this is here with enormous power.  Painting with strokes remain, the brilliant drawing knowledge, the brave playfulness of design too (take notice of the play with enlargements) but now here comes the bold selection of thematic choices with brave associations and verbal humor.  Desert Fox, to mention one, where not just the American tanks are moving but (presto!) Vuk as well:  this together, let's admit, truly shocking. 

Here is the conclusion:  we need to see Nora Soos monthly, so that we do not lag behind like poor Irma from the" Wilma and the others "titled exhibition.
